Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 7 September 2026
These terms apply whenever you engage Refynelabs ("we", "us", "our") for video production, photography, or related services. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to them. Our Refund Policy covers deposits, cancellations and rescheduling in detail and is part of these terms.
Our services
We produce launch films, founder and brand films, product demos, photography, and short-form social cutdowns, as agreed with you in writing (email is fine) before work begins. The exact scope, deliverables, timeline and price for your project are set out in your quote or proposal, which takes precedence over these general terms where the two differ.
Bookings and payment
A booking is confirmed once we've agreed scope and price and received your deposit. Unless we've agreed otherwise in writing, our standard terms are a 50% deposit to secure your date and the remaining balance due on delivery of final files. See our Refund Policy for what happens if a project is cancelled or rescheduled.
Your responsibilities
To hit an agreed timeline, we rely on you to give us timely access, information, approvals and feedback. Delays on your side may push back delivery dates, and we're not liable for delays caused by late input, access, or approvals from you or your team.
Intellectual property and usage rights
Raw, unedited footage remains our property. Ownership of the final edited deliverables transfers to you once we've received payment in full for the project. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, we retain the right to use the work (including behind-the-scenes content) in our own portfolio, website and marketing — let us know before the shoot if you need this restricted, for example for embargoed or confidential launches.
Revisions
The number of revision rounds included is set out in your project quote. Additional rounds beyond that may be billed at our standard rate, agreed with you before we start the extra work.
Liability
We'll deliver the work with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the fees paid for that project, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost profits or lost opportunities).
Force majeure
Neither of us is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control (illness, extreme weather, venue or location issues, and similar). We'll let you know as soon as possible and agree a reasonable revised timeline.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force for your project is the one current at the date you confirmed your booking, unless we agree a change in writing.
