Privacy Policy

Refynelabs ("we", "us", "our") makes launch films, founder stories, product demos and photography for startups. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what rights you have over it. If anything here is unclear, email us at launch@refynelabs.co.uk.
Information we collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to give us through the contact form: your name, email address, and the project message you write. We don't run any analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising pixels, so we don't collect browsing behaviour, device fingerprints, or usage statistics.
How we use it
We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and, if we start working together, to deliver the project. We don't use it for marketing you haven't asked for, and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.
Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on your consent (which you give by ticking the consent box when submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries sent to us.
Who we share it with
Submitting the contact form sends your message to us via Resend, the transactional email service we use to deliver and receive that message. Resend acts as our data processor for this single purpose and does not use your data for its own purposes. This site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard web request data (such as IP address) as part of serving the page to you.
This site also loads web fonts from Google Fonts and Fontshare's CDN. Loading a font from either of these means your browser makes a direct request to their servers, which may log your IP address as part of standard web server behaviour — this happens outside of our control, as it's a direct connection between your browser and the font provider. Neither of these font requests set any cookie.
We don't share your information with anyone else, and we don't transfer it outside the UK/EEA other than through the processors named above, each of whom maintains their own safeguards for international transfers.
Cookies
This website does not currently use cookies, analytics, or any tracking technology. See our Cookies Policy for details.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails only for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, where a project goes ahead, for the duration of that engagement plus a reasonable period afterwards for our own records. We don't store form submissions in a database — each one is simply sent as an email.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it; and
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've mishandled your data.
To exercise any of these, email launch@refynelabs.co.uk.
Children
This website and our services are directed at businesses and individuals over 18, not children.
Changes to this policy
If we start using cookies, analytics, or new processors, we'll update this page (and our Cookies Policy) and change the date at the top.
